Matthew H. Paden D.P.M.
Dr. Matt Paden earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and completed two years of graduate work in anatomy at the University of Maryland. While at Maryland, he competed on the track and field team as a sprinter and pole vaulter. He graduated with honors in 1991 from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. In 1993 he completed his podiatric surgical residency at Vencor Hospital (now the Highlands Foot P/SL residency program) then completed a Diabetic Foot Fellowship in San Francisco in 1994. He has been practicing in his home state of Colorado since 1994, and is board certified in both foot surgery and rearfoot and ankle reconstructive surgery. Since 2004, Dr. Paden has been the residency director of the Highlands P/SL residency program, which is consistently acknowledged as one of the premier training programs in the nation. He is the co-founder and board member of The Highland's Institute, an organization dedicated to excellence in education in podiatric medicine and surgery. Matt's passions include skiing, technical climbing, and mountain climbing. In 2008, he completed his final summit of all the 14er's in Colorado, and in 2009 motivated his five year old son Hunter up Mt Sherman under his own power! When near the ocean, he surfs, and when exhausted, he golfs....

Barbara Young Paden D.P.M
Dr. Barbara Paden is a San Diego native. She earned both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Kinesiology from UCLA, While at UCLA, she was the starting right fielder on the 1982 and 1984 NCAA championship softball teams, and was named second team academic all-American in 1984. In 1991, she graduated with honors from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco then completed her her three year residency training in 1994 at a combination program between LA County USC and Kaiser Walnut Creek. She has been practicing in the Denver area since 1994. She is a past chief of the podiatry section of the surgery department at Exempla Lutheran Medical Center. Barbara is board certified in foot surgery and has extensive experience in the treatment of the child's foot. Since the adoption of Matt and Barbara's son from Russia in 2004, she has focused primarily on outpatient and conservative podiatry. Outside her practice, her interests include running, weight training, hiking, learning Russian, playing the flute, and trying to adopt another child from Russia! In her spare time she and her sister finished the San Diego Rock and Roll Marathon in June 2008.

Brett D. Sachs D.P.M.
Following a nationwide search, Dr. Sachs was recruited to join the Rocky Mountain Foot and Ankle Center in 2005 following the retirement of Dr. Gary Fisher. Brett is a Maryland native and graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor's degree in biology. He graduated from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine with honors in 1998 prior to completing his residency training at the Highlands P/SL residency program in 2001. Due to his academic strengths, he has been appointed to the clinical residency faculty, the xray conference director, and numerous boards and committees at both P/SL and Exempla Lutheran Medical Centers. His particular areas of interest are in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, trauma, and sports medicine. He is board certified in both foot surgery and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. In his free time, he loves golf, skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and running.
